I have so much love for this couple and I am not sure I can adequately describe it. They are fun, clearly in love, and 100% meant for each other. They were giddy and so excited their entire day, which completely set the tone for all of their guests who were equally excited to be a part of these nuptials. There were quite a few happy tears in the mix, and probably not a dry eye in the room when it came to their ceremony. Who knew so much love could originate from summer camp! Yeah, that’s right, they met at summer camp.
“Love you to the moon and back” is a phrase that clearly speaks volumes with Rachael and Zach. It’s evident in the way that each one of them looks at the other, or at their dog, Luna. Their wedding day doubled as their seven, yes SEVEN year anniversary of being together after meeting their first year of architecture school.
Jess and Austin have a deep love of architecture and design, which shows in the selection of their gorgeous venue, Knowlton Mansion. I wasn’t complaining either. The beauty of this place is simply incredible and it was so easy to be inspired by the location.
You know that amazing feeling you get when something that has been a long time coming finally happens? Well, that’s how I imagine the friends and family felt at Cait and Joe’s wedding. They had been dating for the better part of a decade when they finally tied the knot in a gorgeous winter wedding at The Red Clay Room in Kennett Square, PA.
The Land of Enchantment graced us all with beautiful rich tones and a few little surprises for these two adventure-seekers. Last year, I met a talented artist and storyteller while photographing UPenn’s graduation. Derek and I hit it off immediately and I was shocked and honored that he asked me to photograph his upcoming wedding just a few months later after covering a few events together. Yes, it is a huge compliment for anyone to ask you to photograph something for them, but Derek is an amazing photographer himself, so for him and his family to want to fly me out to New Mexico for their day made me extremely grateful to have this incredible job that just so happens to double as my passion. This was no ordinary wedding, it had all of my favorite things — a dog, a baby and a National Park (and of course Mara and Derek).
These two are more fun than any words I could possibly put together could describe. I personally had a great time, and I sure hope they did too. I’ve said this before and I will never stop saying it, I love dog people, and I LOVE when they want to include them in their photos. Of course we had to include the pup, who was very motivated by his toy. Somehow I have become very practiced in photographing with one hand while the other hand is holding something else, despite my camera being so heavy. The dogs have trained me well!
Boy does this wedding tug at my heart strings! Long story short, Nicole and I go way back to when we were teenagers. I was pleasantly surprised to hear she was getting married and so excited when she asked if I could photograph it! After going to several of her Italian family gatherings years ago, I knew this wedding was going to be pretty spectacular.
Lia and Patrick may be onto something here — they split their wedding into TWO days — and I am kind of digging this new way to say “I do”. I met Lia and Patrick with their 2 dogs and parents at Washington Memorial Chapel at Valley Forge for a very intimate wedding ceremony. And when I say very, I mean there were only 8 of us in the Chapel all together. The small ceremony and Chapel location was simply perfect for these two who clearly have an appreciation for the historical significance and beautiful architecture that Valley Forge provides.
Remember Liz and Dan’s engagement session? Well they tied the knot in Philadelphia and partied with their friends and family at Lucien’s Manor, but first, we needed some iconic Philly photos on the Art Museum steps. The lovebirds exchanged presents to open the morning of their wedding. Liz received a bracelet and t-shirt of her promoted status from girlfriend, to fiance, and finally, to wife, while Dan rocked a pocket watch which had a sweet note from his bride “I love you until the end of time”.
Remember Shelby and Nick’s amazing engagement session? Well their wedding was just as amazing. These two celebrated their wedding just 1 day after BOTH of their birthdays. That’s right, they have the SAME birthday! How fun is that? Hopefully that means they will never forget their anniversary and will be able to do one large celebration each time August rolls around. Their sense of humor really shined through and Nick had Shelby laughing almost the entire time!
