I am thrilled that Rachael and Zach were up for an adventure, because their engagement session was a whole lot of fun. These architecture buffs were ecstatic to see the gorgeous views that the mansion at Ridley Creek State Park had to offer. Yes it was a bit of a drive, but it was absolutely worth it! AND they brought their pup, Luna, who plans to make an appearance at her parent’s wedding next year.
I personally find engagement sessions really helpful, but mostly to help prepare the photographer AND the couple for their wedding day. I learned a lot about this couple in the few hours I had with them and I am sure they learned a lot about me too. Not to mention, they are now pros at being in front of the camera and they got to see which poses they liked!
Mother Nature gifted Ian and Alexis with gorgeous weather that lasted just long enough for their wedding. The sun was shining and these two had a great looking wedding party if I do say so myself. I felt my own eyes get teary when Alexis gave her vows to her soon to be step-son. Those same tears creeped up again when her new son gave a toast and they shared in their very own dance. The night capped off with what arguably everyone comes to see at a wedding: the bride throw some cake in her husbands face.
An in home engagement session with dogs and dog socks? Pinch me- I’m dreaming. Goose and Nola welcomed me at the door and were camera ready for their close ups. After a nice in home session, we headed to Evil Genius Brewing Company in Fishtown for the only other thing that would make this session perfect: beer.
We braved the chilly and rainy weather for Shannon and Rich’s engagement shoot at the Briar Bush Nature Center located in Abington, PA. This nature loving couple picked a great activity for their shoot, which was exploring together- something they do for fun together often!
Cutie patootie alert! Sweet Rebecca may be one of the calmest babies I have ever met! She slept through most of her session, but kindly joined us towards the end.
The beautiful Bickhart family wanted to take some Christmas photos and it just so happened that there was some fresh snow on the ground. We took photos inside to show off Laura’s amazing holiday decorating skills and ended up outside playing in the snow! We even got the kitties to join us for a few photos! It has been so fun watching this family grow and keep adding to their roster!
I first met Kaelyn and Nick when we did their engagement session, which guest starred their 2 adorable dogs. They chose to do their engagement session at the very spot where they would be getting married, which was a gorgeous location!
I have known Bailey since she was just a few months old, and now she is graduating high school in 2018! I spent so much of my childhood with her, we practically grew up together, and she became my unofficial little sister. I have enjoyed seeing how much she has grown, both physically and mentally, and am so excited to see where life will take her.
Emily and Josh’s wedding day was in no way a surprise to anyone in attendance. It was beautifully planned and the details were so well thought out. Emily, who was born on Friday the 13th, is followed by rain like it is her own shadow.
