When it comes to photography, I love color, moments and a good story. Please check out my blogs to see recent work.
Laura and Kevin had a gorgeous and elegant wedding at the Ridley Creek State Park mansion. The architecture of this place is stunning in and of itself and as a wedding venue, it is phenomenal.
One piece of their invite suite caught my eye, and that was the wedding day timeline! For those of us who are visual, we love seeing a chronological order of events in an easy to read graphic display.
Laura stunned in an elegant gown and bridal flat lace shoes, which was good planning considering how much grass and uneven grounds we ended up covering that day! She accessorized her look with some gold backed jewelry. Laura’s look was completed with a natural make up finish and up do. And have you seen a bouquet as beautiful as this one? The bridesmaids stood next to their friend wearing some pretty fantastic pink dresses, making them really pop against that forest green color the venue provides.
Kevin didn’t look too bad himself with a navy suit, classic brown shoes and a belt to match. He mixed it up with a blue tie featuring white polkadots, showing off his playful side. He went all out, getting the inside of his suit engraved with their wedding date. Kevin being the sentimental guy he is, carried a photo of his parents from their wedding day in his pocket! Kevin’s groomsmen all had his back in matching blue suits and made sure to bring all the personality you could ever want from a group of men.
Their ceremony was held outside on the grounds in a stone walled courtyard accompanied by romantic string music. Guests then enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour with some of the most delicious looking hors d’oeuvres I’ve come across. The reception came and the room was roaring with cheers for the newlyweds as they entered the room for their first dance as husband and wife. The blessing and toasts brought just a couple tears to the party, but they were happy tears of course. Laura and Kevin opted to trade in the traditional wedding cake for a more modern donut cake that seemed to go over really well with all the guests. They then partied their hearts out with a fun night of laughing, crying (from laughing) and dancing.
