This family portrait session turned proposal turned engagement session was a ton of fun for so many reasons.

The couple had adopted their cat from an animal shelter that I happen to have been volunteering with for years, Kitty Cottage Adoption Center. I work taking photos of their adoptable cats so that they can get adopted by loving families like Cara and Stefan who make their pet a full part of their family.

Cara had set up a family portrait session for the three of them and I received a phone call from Stefan who was planning on proposing during the session at Ridley Creek State Park as a fun surprise. Obviously Cara said yes and immediately grabbed their cat, Blue who obviously played a major role in helping with the proposal.
