Melissa and Michael make a pretty cute couple don’t they? It is often awkward being in front of the camera and showing off some pda, but these two couldn’t keep their hands off each other from the very beginning! Not only were they ready for this session, but they were willing to do whatever goofy thing I made them do, like skip or give piggy back rides. The entire session was full of laughter, from all three of us if I am being completely honest. I can’t wait to see these contagious smiles again at their upcoming wedding.
Congratulations to Jess and Matt, who tied the knot in front of their friends and family on a beautiful day. We had an event filled morning while they were getting ready with their respective squads, and a little bit of an emotional one too. They had a smooth ceremony at St. John Bosco after their blind first look. First looks are growing in popularity, but this was my first experience with a blind first look, where the couple didn’t actually see each other. They simply wanted to be in each other’s presence to calm their nerves before heading into the church. They also wrote each other sweet love notes to read during this moment, which made it all the more special.
Does this place look familiar? It’s none other than the beautiful Morris Arboretum. The place isn’t the only familiar thing here because Mary was the Maid of Honor at Liz and Dan’s wedding last year. I am so excited to see some familiar faces at their upcoming wedding and see some past couples thriving!
This iconic Philly session was well worth the early wake up time. We started off at Belmont Plateau at sunrise to overlook the City of Brotherly Love and then went to do a mini series of the Love Letter Murals. If you haven’t heard of them before, there is an entire series scattered and tours are offered of this really cool artwork. Next up was the Love Statue and of course, City Hall. Vince is quite the fashion guru and I think they picked out the perfect outfits for their laugh-filled session.
I have a real treat for you here. Judy and Shawn had a busy few weeks week, with graduations and their wedding. The 18th Century Garden in Philadelphia, PA was the perfect backdrop for their I do’s. We took our time walking to their brunch location, Royal Boucherie, stopping to quite a few photos along the way. Tthey look pretty good together right?
I have so much love for this couple and I am not sure I can adequately describe it. They are fun, clearly in love, and 100% meant for each other. They were giddy and so excited their entire day, which completely set the tone for all of their guests who were equally excited to be a part of these nuptials. There were quite a few happy tears in the mix, and probably not a dry eye in the room when it came to their ceremony. Who knew so much love could originate from summer camp! Yeah, that’s right, they met at summer camp.
Grace, Nik and I ventured to Wissahickon Valley Park for their engagement session, specifically to an area called Devil’s Pool. It was all of our first time there and I think we were pleasantly surprised to find such a gem of a location so close to home. I foresee a lot more visits to this incredible place and definitely a lot more exploration of the entire park.
Just look at those CHEEKS. Never have I wanted to pinch such cute little cheeks before. Miri has this incredible gaze that feels as if she is looking into your soul. Her smile is contagious — I double dog dare you to not smile when this little girl is laughing or smiling. Miri is quite advanced for her young age. She has already made friends with the cat, which anyone knows is no simple task. I can tell she is going to be an adventurer, a thrill-seeker, as is evidence by the barrels of laughter she lets out when her dad holds her upside down or throws her high up in the air.
It’s pretty safe to say that everyone is excited for the arrival of baby Nagel, who is planned to make his/her appearance in June. And yes, the gender is a surprise. There are guesses as to if this will be a little girl or boy, but only baby Nagel will be able to tell us that. No matter what gender, this baby is going to be surrounded by a whole lot of love.
